Now more than ever, we need a representative that will fight for the families of our communities and stand up for our values and interests. As your State Representative, I will make sure your voice is heard in Springfield.

EDUCATION

The only way we can stay competitive is if we keep our state growing. Harry believes we need to put trade and vocational programs back into schools, making sure kids that don’t want to or can’t go to college can still be set up for high paying jobs. he will lower the cost of in-state tuition so we can be sure that those that want to go to college, can go in-state and then stay and DIVERSIFY our economy when they graduate.

CLIMATE CHANGE

HARRY KNOWS THAT WE MUST MOVE TO GREEN ENERGY TO ENSURE THAT WE PASS ON A sustainable PLANET TO OUR CHILDREN. INVESTING IN RENEWABLE ENERGY IS PARAMOUNT TO ENSURE WE ARE COMPETING WITH NEIGHBORING STATES AND KEEPING OUR ENVIRONMENT SAFE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

HEALTHCARE

HEALTHCARE COSTS ARE SKYROCKETING, AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO ENSURE THOSE THAT NEED IT THE MOST ARE TAKEN CARE OF. Harry knows we NEED TO LOWER THE COST OF HEALTHCARE AND PRESCRIPTION DRUGS FOR ALL PEOPLE, AND ESPECIALLY SENIORS, TO MAKE SURE NO ONE IS FORCED TO RATION MEDICINE OR CHOOSE BETWEEN FOOD OR A DOCTOR VISIT. Harry will also work to protect reproductive healthcare for women, and ensure that Illinois always preserves a woman’s right to choose.

VETERANS

HARRY IS ADAMANT IN ENSURING THAT WE TAKE CARE OF OUR VETERANS. AS A BOARD MEMBER OF VETERANS OUTREACH OF ILLINOIS, HE IS INSTRUMENTAL IN WORKING TO GET A TINY-HOME COMMUNITY BUILT FOR HOMELESS AND TRANSITIONING VETERANS. WE MUST TAKE CARE OF OUR VETERANS AFTER WE SEND THEM overseas to fight for our country.

LABOR

HARRY IS THIRD GENERATION LABOR, AND WILL FIGHT TO ENSURE THAT LABOR IS TAKEN CARE OF EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. HE WILL BACK A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO BLOCK THE STATE FROM EVER INSTITUTING RIGHT TO WORK LAWS. HE WILL MAKE SURE THAT COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AND NEGOTIATION ARE AVAILABLE FOR ANY WORK FORCE THAT WANTS THEM. HARRY is a strong supporter of the worker’s rights amendment, and will always fight for better paying jobs for working families.

CORRUPTION

HARRY IS SICK OF CROOKED POLITICIANS TAKING YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY AND LINING THEIR POCKETS WITH IT. HE IS A FIERCE SUPPORTER OF CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM AND ETHICS REFORM, ENSURING THAT ANY POLITICIAN CONVICTED OF A CRIME IS PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT, AND PAYS BACK EVERY CENT THAT THEY TOOK FROM THE TAXPAYER. HE WILL ALSO STRIKE DOWN THE CORRUPT AND SHADY RED-LIGHT CAMERA SCHEMES THAT HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF SO MANY IN OUR COMMUNITY, ONLY TO GO INTO THE POCKETS OF INSIDER LOBBYISTS.

COMMUNITY SAFETY

Harry supports the men and women in law enforcement and firefighters, who work tirelessly to protect our communities. Harry believes we need to fully fund our state and local law enforcement agencies so that they can effectively do their jobs and keep repeat offenders with a history of violence off the street. As a Plainfield Village Trustee, Harry has always voted in favor of law enforcement for better funding, for new equipment, and for expanded training. He has also worked with the department on community safety initiatives. As state representative, Harry will always prioritize public safety and advocate for better training programs for officers, better technology and tools to make law enforcement’s jobs easier, and better benefits for agents to encourage job retention and take care of our current officers.
